Constructed of solid brass and plated in classic bronze, these vintage style door knobs feature a 1/4 inch square spindle shaft and come with mounting hardware included. Designed for indoor use only, this classic style knob set fits square drive spindle systems commonly found in antique and vintage door hardware sets.

The adjustable design of this door knob replacement set allows it to accommodate different door thicknesses. The durable and stylish construction of these knobs ensures long-lasting use, and the set includes a 17/64 inch x 3-1/2 inch steel spindle with 3/8 inch -20 threads. The shanks on these knobs include 2 set screws per shank for fastening the knobs to the square spindle. It is recommended to use a small dab of midgrade glue on the threads to keep the handle in place.

Please note that this set of knobs does not include the internal mortise lock body, door rosettes, trim and strike plates, or the latch and fasteners, which must be purchased separately. Additionally, this item cannot be used on pre-bored doors that have large, newer style door knob holes without prep work to receive the hardware. It is recommended to fill the large 2-1/8 inch (approximate size) holes with a hardening filler before mounting the rosettes to ensure a solid surface.

For installation, a small amount of Loctite ThreadLocker 271® can be applied to the set screw threads to prevent them from loosening, which must be purchased separately. The dimensions of the brass door knob set include 2-1/4 inch outside diameter knobs with 1-3/4 inch projection, and the 17/64 inch x 3-1/2 inch square spindles.
